We have Weight Based Shipping 1 and 2 that are using product weight to measure the shipping fee. The difference between them is the way of calculation formula. Weight Based Shipping 1 is charged based on the range you set whereas Weight Based Shipping 2 is charged based on first weight and next repeating weight. Kindly refer to your courier service provider for the weight charges.

Most of our sellers are using Weight Based Shipping 2 as it does not need to list all the range like Weight Based Shipping 1 does. Sample Calculation

If you are using Pos Laju and customers purchase 1KG item in a single order on your website, the shipping calculation formula will be:

Total Weight: 1KG
First 0.5KG is RM5.40
Repeating Next 0.25KG is RM1

Total WeightShipping Rate plus 25% of Pos Laju’s fuel surcharge and handling charges and 6% of GST
0.5KG + 0.25KG + 0.25KG = [(RM5.40 + RM1 + RM1) x 25%] x 6%
1KG = [RM7.40 x 1.25] x 6%
1KG = RM9.25 x 1.06
1KG = RM9.80

Please note that system is based on the default weight class from Settings -> General -> General -> Standards & Formats to configure weight in shipping setting.

System is using Kilogram by default, unless you prefer Gram and change the default weight class. Then, the shipping setting will require to set as 500(G) instead of 0.5(KG).
